Historical note: Clan rules of engagement had long regarded DropShips as non-combatants, and so the Clans have never developed fighter carriers. However, the Clans' use of fighters in other roles necessitated some means of transporting small numbers of them. While Clan Snow Raven's Carrier-class dropship was developed to fit this role, the need arose for a smaller specialized craft, capable of dropping stars of so-called Headhunter Elementals and associated air support. An ancient Terran design, the Leopard-CV was reborn and refitted, filling the role nicely. Few of these ships were built, and after the events on Tukkyid none remain. The Raptor was one of the last, disapearing into the Perephiry during a routine mission to the genetic banks on the Falcon homeworld.
